Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Sungkai at The Atrium Restaurant, The Empire Hotel & Country Club.
Very much recommended. It’s got great views of the sunset, peaceful and less crowded too. As you can see they have an extensive buffet line too. Although a bit on the high side, I would say it’s worth it. Sungkai is $28 per adult and $14 per child. Choices varies from Iranian Chicken Kebab, Lamb, Massaman Curry, Stir-fried Mussel with Szechuan Sauce, Ambuyat, Murtabak Station, Barbeque Mixed Gril and many more.
They’ve got yummy desserts too like Chocolate Triangle, Hazelnut Praline Cake, Pear Charlotte, Semolina Pudding and other varieties. After you’re done with Sungkai, you can go down to the Ground level to enjoy hot drinks and their famous Cake Batik in an Arabic themed lounge which opens until 11pm daily.
Hari Raya cakes are also available at the Lobby Lounge for takeaways until 11 September. The cakes include the ever popular Empire Kek Batik, Kek Batik Vico, Kek Lapis Nutella, Kek Lapis Cranberry, Kek Lapis Prune and Kek Lapis Betawi. Empire Cake gift box is also for sale with choices of 4 flavors for only $25 per box.
